NVF 2015 Q&A, with Lydia Kinos of Della Terra

May 8th, 2015 Festival Weekend, NVF 2015, Vendors & Exhibitors

In the lead-up to Niagara VegFest 2015 on June 7, we’d like to introduce you to some of our wonderful vendors, exhibitors and volunteers who make the festival happen. In this Q&A, Lydia Kinos of Della Terra Fresh Olive Oil & Balsamic Tasting Bar tells us about her company’s products and why Niagara VegFest is a standout event.

NVF: Tell us about your business.
LK: Della Terra began two years ago after discovering a lack of availability of fresh, high-quality extra virgin olive oils in the Niagara Region. For us, the key was to not only to be able to provide something flavourful, but also to bring to market a product that is healthy and natural. By working with producers from around the globe, we’re able to deliver the freshest oils from the most current crops. Not only do these oils taste vastly different, they are also verified by a third-party lab to exceed the highest international standards. Add in all-natural Italian balsamics, and you’ve got over 50 products to sample – bottled fresh for you to take home.

NVF: What are you most looking forward to at Niagara VegFest 2015?
LK: We love the atmosphere! We were VegFest newbies in 2014, and we knew immediately that we’d want to come back in 2015. The energy and enthusiasm from everyone that attended made it a standout event for us.

NVF: Why is Niagara VegFest important to you?
LK: Events like this are really what Niagara is all about –  incredible foods mixed in with some education and a lot of fun! We get excited when we’re able to present our products to an audience that has a true appreciation for flavourful, quality ingredients.
