NVF 2015 Q&A, with Eva Fung of ESPE

May 14th, 2015 Festival Weekend, NVF 2015, Vendors & Exhibitors

ESPEIn the lead-up to Niagara VegFest 2015 on June 7, we’d like to introduce you to some of our wonderful vendors, exhibitors and volunteers who make the festival happen. In this Q&A, Eva Fung of ESPE tells us about her company’s philosophy and about what she’s looking forward to at VegFest 2015.

A graduate of Queen’s University Electrical Engineering and a Professional Engineer by trade, Eva had worked in the telecommunications industry for years before starting her own trading business and eventually creating ESPE. Eva always had a passion for vegan fashion. Her 13-year-old, feisty Jack Russell Terrier has been her inspiration to commit to a vegan business. She had noticed a void in the fashion industry for high-quality, affordable handbags and accessories. In 2004, she formulated ESPE, an animal-friendly, cruelty-free brand that focuses on functionality, durability, affordability and creativity. Eva is the Chief Creative Director behind the brand, rigorously delivering new and innovative designs every season. By relentlessly focusing on her core values of designing and creating eco-friendly, vegan couture, ESPE has gained a strong competitive edge in the fashion industry.

NVG: Tell us about your business.
EF: Started in Toronto over a decade ago, ESPE is an animal-friendly fashion company that specializes in designing handbags, wallets and fashion accessories.  Our philosophy is all about providing the latest styles, ultimate function, impeccable quality, and of course, maximum affordability. This season, we’ve designed an array of functional and affordable cruelty-free products to suit everyone’s needs – from a stroll to the park to a night out on the town!

NVF: What are you most looking forward to at Niagara VegFest 2015?
