NVF 2015 Q&A, with Barbi Lazarus of the Toronto Vegetarian Association

June 1st, 2015 Posted by Festival Weekend, NVF 2015, Vendors & Exhibitors

Toronto Vegetarian AssociationIn the lead-up to Niagara VegFest 2015 on June 7, we’d like to introduce you to some of our wonderful vendors, exhibitors and volunteers who make the festival happen. In this Q&A, Barbi Lazarus, Donor and Volunteer Resources Coordinator for the Toronto Vegetarian Association, tells us about the many resources her organization offers and why visiting Niagara for VegFest is inspirational.

NVF: Tell us about your organization.
BL: Toronto Vegetarian Association is Toronto’s go-to resource for all things veg. We’ve been around since 1945 and are celebrating our 70th anniversary this year. We host North America’s largest vegfood fest, distribute a vegetarian directory around the GTA, have a drop in resource centre and library, and host the Totally Fabulous Vegan Bake-Off.

NVF: What are you most looking forward to at Niagara VegFest 2015?
BL: Being introduced to the growing number of vegetarian and veg-friendly businesses in the Niagara region.

NVF: Why is Niagara VegFest important to you?
BL: It’s so inspirational and exciting to see the vegetarian movement growing. I’m always impressed with how many vendors Niagara VegFest has been able to attract in such a short period of time and how much the event grows each and every year.
