Niagara VegFest 2017 Sneak Peek

March 13th, 2017 Festival Weekend, NVF 2017, VegFest News

Niagara VegFest Market Hall St. CatharinesWe might still be in the grips of winter weather, but planning for the 6th annual Niagara VegFest is well underway! We hope you’ll join us June 3-4, 2017 for a fabulous weekend celebrating vegan living!

Saturday, June 3, we’ll be celebrating VegFest in the Vineyard. Visit four area wines and sample vegan wine and food pairings. We’re planning a special vegan dining experience in downtown St. Catharines, followed by a VegFest-themed film at the FirstOntario Performing Arts centre Film House. Stay tuned for details and ticket information!

Sunday, June 4, we celebrate VegFest’s main event at Market Square in St. Catharines. Last year we had over 80 vendors and 6,000 visitors and this year is shaping up to be even bigger!

We are currently confirming our speaker line up, but can tell you that Susie Coston and Ellie Donahue-Miller will be on hand.

Susie Coston has been Farm Sanctuary’s National Shelter Director since 2000. As a committed farm animal caregiver for more than a decade, Susie has been a mentor for many of her peers (who have started their own sanctuaries throughout the U.S.) and is well-known for bringing the animals’ stories of love, loss and life to the public.

Edit (30 April 17): We regret that Ellie Donahue-Miller will be unable to join us this year. However, you can view our excellent line up guest speakers, including J.L. Fields and Sharon Mann, on our website.
